Construction of a 20MW Flexible Generation Plant

Here’s another quick look at the excellent progress being made at one of our current crop of natural-gas-fuelled flexible generation plants being constructed in the north of England. As previously reported, this one will have eight 2.5 MW units offering a combined 20 MW of capacity that will be used to help balance the UK’s national grid.

This will of course help keep the lights on, but also enable more sources of renewable energy to be integrated into the grid.
The eagle-eyed amongst you may also be able to spot where the site is… More details on this project will be announced shortly, but in the meantime, if you’d like to know more, please don’t hesitate to contact our flexibility team as they’d be delighted to help.
