Independent energy generation specialist, Ylem Energy Ltd, has bolstered its recently-announced move into the UK’s flexibility market with the recruitment of Simon Mitchell to head up business development for its new range of smart energy generation, storage and demand-side response solutions.
Simon brings with him a wealth of experience gained from working in senior roles within the UK energy sector, having developed solutions for businesses that include energy storage, demand-side response, generation and renewables – most recently having held positions with E.ON UK.

Earlier this month, Ylem Energy announced that it has secured the exclusive UK rights to large-scale battery energy storage technology from a leading global provider of cutting-edge battery systems. Ylem Energy’s first such project – a 1MW containerised energy storage system will be commissioned early in 2019 at a UK-based landfill generation site.
